Troy Dillard

Coming from a long line entertainers, it was inevitable that Troy Dillard would have music pulsing through his veins. He took the electronic music scene by storm in 2000 with his chart breaking track, Hold On To Your Love with Joeski and Onionz which was released on Electric Soul Records and later re-released on Shaboom.

In 2001, he formed the first of many incarnations of the group known as B 1 Soul, consisting of himself, a DJ and four backup dancers. After many performances with the revolving door of DJ’s and dancers in and out of the group, in 2005 he decided to put the group on the back burner and focus on his vocals.

Following a 2 year hiatus, spent fine tuning his technique and expanding his vocal range he re-emerged on the scene working with a variety of talented local Dj’s including Trevor Matthews and GEE BEE, opening up for major headliners such as Chuck Love and Derrick Carter. Since then Troy has had the pleasure of working with numerous producers including Demarcus Lewis and Matt Bandy. This new found exposure paved the way for releases on such labels as 8 Down,Roundhouse and most recently, Sugar Shack.

At the beginning 2013 he decided to fly solo by taking the next logical step learning how to DJ and playing his first set with live vocals at an annual burner event called Interfuse.

Joining the INICIO Crew has been the latest stepping stone in his musical/DJ career, supplying countless opportunities to work with some of the most talented DJ/Producers in the EDM Scene today. The musical sky’s the limit with this guy and he’s definitely ready to fly.
