It has been a long time in the making, since we first crossed paths at Escape n the Beats. and so worth the wait. We are so pleased to finally present Mr. Mikey V from Portland!!!!

Mikey Velazquez is a DJ, Producer & Vocalist from Los Angeles, California, who has been a staple on the West Coast underground house scene since 2006. Best known for throwing the infamous HAWT underground parties, 2014 finds him focused on original productions & vocal projects, with releases on Classic Music Company, Dirtybird, Snatch!, Great Lakes Audio, Cajual Records & Salted Music so far.

Mikey’s latest release, “Freaks On The Floor EP” on Derrick Carter & Luke Solomon’s legendary label, Classic Music Company, has been getting support from heavyweights such as Loco Dice, Catz & Dogz, Huxley, DJ Sneak, Pezzner, Groove Armada and more.

Milkey is a a triple threat artist that few can compare to and it is an honor to have him grace our city with his talent.

A classically trained pianist, self taught guitar player and award winning Jazz vocalist by the age of 12, Music is all she has ever known. Today in her home town of Portland Oregon, Mena is a well sought after DJ, studio vocalist and budding producer. A creative gem and staple of the Northwest electronic music culture, she’s an easy favorite among house heads.

At the age of 15 she bought her first pair of Technics and never looked back. She’s been shamelessly bossing a mixer around for the better part of almost two decades and you can feel it when she plays. Her sound comes straight from the soul! Jackin, funky, deep, jazzy… whatever the style, her mixing it solid, clean and soul stirring. She knows what she is doing and it shows.

2013 was her debut year in production and she hit the ground running with 13 releases on 7 labels in 3 countries. She began collaborating with a myriad of house music and down-tempo producers and is a featured Artist for releases on Ficus Tree Music, Caboose Records, Native Soul Recordings, Caliber Sounds and Mark Farinas Label Great Lake Audio to name a few. The result of which has allowed her to enjoy a little success on the Stompy and Traxsource top ten in 2014!
